Conceptual Change (KAT) Differentiation (KAT) Lesson Preparation Creating Animation / Interactive Video Description
WeVideo is a is a video platform designed to use the cloud for collaborative storage and work. It is tool created for video capture, editing, and sharing. It's cloud-based, which means that multiple people can collaborate on the same video from different locations, or students can work on it at school and finish it up for homework.
Depending on students' video editing skills, WeVideo has two editing modes: Storyboard and Timeline. Storyboard is best for beginners or younger students, but students can switch between modes if they change their mind later. Timeline allows students to add extra features like custom fonts and effects. They can upload images, video clips, and audio, and put them together with voice-over or text, or choose from the million licensed media options available within WeVideo.
How it works
WeVideo is an intuitive and easy-to-use platform that uses clever tech to make it ideal for younger students who may otherwise not have the patience for editing. The WeVideo site uses JumpStart technology, for example, allows students the ability to begin editing a video before it has even fully uploaded, while the upload continues in the background.
Usefully, students can start working in a simple mode and upgrade to a more complex editing style, and back again, as they need throughout the project. This allows them to explore more difficult styles of editing without feeling they have to commit to that in the long run.

Educator Usage
Students used WeVideo to create a presentation for class. It was a great way to get students to move beyond just creating a PowerPoint and to really think about selecting visuals that will enhance a viewer's understanding of the content being presented. Students were quickly able to figure out how to manipulate their media and use the video-editor.
Students can also collaborate with each other on videos, with one or more students working from home (if the technology is available). To prepare students for working together on a video, you could ask them to form small groups and present a subject or tell a story together.
