Poll Everywhere is an online service that allows users to poll an audience through text-messaging. It is simple and easy to gather live responses in any venue: conferences, presentations, classrooms, radio, TV, print — anywhere. http://polleverywhere.com


 Features
  • Integration with PowerPoint.
  • Variety of ways students can respond (Twitter, text, web, app).
  • The poll questions are easy to enter whereas polls can be both closed and open-ended. You can also choose the color, display set-up, and type of graph to represent the data.

 Affordances
  • You create the questions. Customize how the chart looks and how your audiencecan respond.
  • Live interaction with the audience. Ask your question and invite them to respond by visiting a webpage or texting. The chart changes as you watch.
  • Download the reports. Analyze the results and share them with your team.

 Limitations
  • Students need either a mobile phone or a smart device with them in order to respond.
  • Only 25 respondents are allowed in free version.
  • Free accounts limit each poll to 40 responses.
  • No reporting and grading.
  • No correct answer display.
