 Description

Teachable Machine is an online tool created by Google that allows any one to create machine learning models easily. Users can train the machine to recognise image, videos, sounds and poses without writing any machine learning code.

 


 How it works

Go to https://teachablemachine.withgoogle.com/ and click Get Started.

Select the type of project, Image, Audio, Pose Project to start.

Click on 'Webcam' or 'Upload' to import or record the image/audio for each class. For e.g. Make Class 1 to recognise dog images, and Class 2 to recognise cat images. Upload various dog image to Class 1 and cat image to Class 2.

Click 'Train Model' to train the model.

Once the training is completed, you can preview your trained model. 

Share the link to the model or save the project to your Google Drive.

 Educator Usage

Suggested use for Teaching and Learning:

  • Physical Education: Instructor can train a model to recognise certain poses and get students to learn through the model.
  • Science: Instructor to train the model by using different insect images. Students can identify different insect by taking pictures of random insects they see and check it against the model.
