 Description

Mergecube is a unique Immersive learning device which is highly entertaining and informative in nature. With either a purchase of the mergecube, or simply via downloading the pictorial codes, users can use their handheld devices to scan the cube or pictures vice versa, and an augmented/virtual reality image will pop up on their screens. These images come from the extensive library that Mergecube possesses, and more curated content is added on a weekly basis. These content include topics such as the solar system, chemistry topics, or even scenic spots like waterfalls.

Studies have shown that learning becomes most effective when learners get to experience and interact with subject matter, rather than just being ‘told’ about it. Mergecube as a form of immersive technology provides affordances in this aspect, as students would become engaged with the suite of functions incorporated in each AR object.
